Fabrics
Our knowledge of materials, trends and light effects is the result of decades of experience. We therefore have a sure touch in assisting you with your choices. Which new fabrics are there and can they be used for lampshades? How is a certain level of light transmission and light scatter to be achieved? How does the material respond to the heat produced by the lighting element and ambient temperature, what are its fire safety properties? Which designs and materials is it possible to combine? Is it better to use foil rather than fabric? Taking the time to talk everything through with you, we can find the optimum solution for every purpose, supplying you with the products of your choice without delay. We maintain a large, well assorted stock of materials to this end. We offer a unique and distinctive variety of fabrics and foils, which is updated continuously. Of course our material selection contains all of our famous standard and evergreen fabrics. We will be glad to provide you with samples.

Box-Pleated (Plissee)
Chintz with regular pleated folds that are produced mechanically. Stretching the folds allows variable light emission.
Crush
All crushed chintz fabrics are mechanically crushed.
Felt
A felted woollen material available in several colours. This material is available in different intensities, allowing variable light emission.
Linen
The natural fiber derived from flax bark is irregular in thickness. This is visible in the fabric.
Moiré
A glossy monochrome fabric. It’s sheen is produced by the unequal superposition of two layers of fabric during production.
Organza
Organza fabric is thin and therefore highly translucent. It is ideal for upgrading old lights – e.g. chandeliers – or for visually emphasizing the light source. Organza is also available as wrapping tape.
Natural Silk / Imitation Silk
The broken threads of the silkworm cocoons are woven together – resulting in the characteristic irregular optic of natural silk. In addition to that we offer imitation silk as an alternative.
Stretch fabric
Frames that are covered with stretch fabric allow an almost unlimited choice when it comes to shape and size. Because of their high flexibility stretch fabrics can be made to fit the shape of any lampshade. The light source inside the lampshade remains visible. Stretch fabrics are available in a wide range of colours and meet the fire safety standard specifications DIN 4102 part B1.
Wrapping tape
The wrapping tape is wound vertically and overlapping around a frame. It is available in different widths. A carrier foil is not needed. The wrapping tape meets the fire safety standard specifications DIN 4102 part B1.
